Lauren Rausch
San Diego Youth Symphony Program Manager
Lauren Rausch enjoys her current role as the San Diego Youth Symphony Program Manager, working closely with leadership, conductors, and the SDYS team to help continue to create a quality student and family experience at SDYS. Rausch was previously on the faculty at the Peabody Preparatory where she served as Director of the Young Peoples’ String Program. She worked to partner with the Baltimore Symphony’s OrchKids program to bring promising young students from the city to study at Peabody in the Tuned-In Strings program. She has maintained a successful violin studio for over ten years, with students accepted into esteemed college music programs, including McGill University, Peabody Conservatory, and Boston University. Rausch holds degrees in violin performance from the Peabody Conservatory, the University of Oregon, and Arizona State University, and has performed at major festivals throughout North America. In her summers, she serves on the violin faculty of the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s YOLA National Festival.
